I have been worried about my eyes and under the eyes bags. In looking around, I feel that age is inevitable and fatal. Why are we all trying to postpone our mortality? Health is now synonymous with beauty. Our culture emphasizes youth, vitality, athleticism. Yet we run too and fro like chickens without heads. People die from our emphasis on beauty and health. Can health just be looking the best you can at your age with wrinkles and all?
I know that yoga has eye exercises that begins with rotating the eyes and being gentle with our eyes. They have a exercise where they cover the eyes with the palm of their hands to rest them. They also do a pose call the lion pose where they kneel and extend their hands on their knees while yawning and squeezing their eyes shut. This helps to exercise the muscles in the eyes. The yogis believe that we can meditate with our eyes through focus concentration on one object. This helps to strengthen them and calms the mind. The Yogis attempt to meditate on the tip of the nose that strengthens the eye muscles. In doing so, they strengthen the eye muscles. In addition, they try to look at distant objects and then close objects to help the eyes to focus. Thus this eleminates the bags!
