I’m not big on the whole idea that everyone should smile all the time, even though there is a law against not frowning in one area I heard of, I think it was in Texas or something. But anyway, there are advantages to it. I mean obviously, when people pass you, even if you’re smiling like an idiot, unless there’s a funeral that they were just at or something, then it’s better in their minds most of the time. But in terms of your face, it benefits your wrinkles, face, etc, because while you may associate smiling with certain wrinkles or even crow’s feet, it’s not as true as you think. Yes, it works some of the muscles. But ironically enough, even a small frown works double the number of muscles worked when you smile. So essentially speaking, you develop more wrinkles and put more strain on your skin in general when you frown than when you smile. So in other words, it’s something worth considering. Expressionless…..well that’s one of the major complaints of botox customers that they have no expression. So considering all things, a smile is not that bad.
