Good and Bad about Routines - November 27th, 2009

Humans are creatures of habit. Notice how you get up in the morning and have some type of routine. You get up, take a shower, eat breakfast, kiss your wife, and head out to work. Then you drive on the same old roads until you reach your workplace and get ready to start another routine. Does this sound familiar to anyone? It should, because this is something that a large percent of americans do every single day of their lives for the duration of their career. Routine also spills over into many of our exercise routines. We head to the gym, stretch, run a mile or two, then do some weight training. I personally fall into this category. There is nothing wrong with this. It just doesn’t add any excitement and we get bored sometimes.

The other night I was watching an infomercial during another one of my bouts of insomnia and I came across an infomercial for a weight loss and exercise program called P90-X. My friends brother had mentioned something about it and how popular it was, but I wasn’t interested in it at the time. It looked great and one of the things that caught my attention was the fact that they change up the exercise routine in order to keep your body guessing. It doesn’t get into a routine where it stops giving results. I’m definitely interested in something new, and I’m getting ready to order one for myself. You can find more info just by googling P90-X.
