Double Folds: My Eye Bags - July 6th, 2009

Now in my younger years, I never actually got bags, dark circles, etc.  To this day, I have still never seen them, nor have I seen them in any member of my family, even though none of us are actually biologically related.  But we came up with the theory a number of years ago that because our family does not have the double folds in the eyelids, we have the extra fatty deposits beneath the eye as well that keep us from developing those problems.  After all, thinning skin is often a part of what affects those problems.  So obviously, those extra fatty deposits in that area keep dark circles from showing up even temporarily let alone staining the skin, and otherwise.

In case you are wondering, double folds are essentially the small lines that are in the eyelids.  They are the ones that most people tend to have, and they are the line that most women use to determine how high their eye makeup should go.  However, there are of course others that extend their eye makeup all the way up to their eyebrows, which I find looks funny without a double fold unfortunately.  But it may be my form of bags that I actually have small folds right above the eyes in the morning that stay sometimes when I am that tired but go away with cold packs or hot packs or just throughout the day.  And if I’m not worn out in the morning, they are never there.  It’s all speculation though.
